This modern planter bench has sharp angles and a heavy look while providing a comfortable spot to sit. Small low profile feet on each corner let it float just above the surface to allow water drainage. I chose a black solid stain with 4 coats of polycrylic matte finish. While a number of other finishes would work, I have found over the years that a solid stain is probably best for an outdoor piece like this.
